Mildred Howell, 95, of Kerens passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016 at Cedar Creek Nursing Home in Malakoff. She was born on Oct. 5, 1921 to Ben Stay and Susie Simmons of Kerens.
Mildred was a member of First United Methodist Church in Kerens and worked as a secretary at Howell Motor Co.
She is survived by four sons, Ben Howell from Kerens, Chris Howell and wife Lisa from Kerens, Doug Howell and wife Celeste from Conroe; Elman Howell, Jr., and wife Betty from Rockwell; sister, Willie Bell McCord from Nacogdoches; eight grandchildren, Joshua Howell from Daytona Beach, Florida, Amy Epley and husband Darin from Wilson, Christie Howell from Salisaw, Oklahoma, Hannah Dokter and husband Garrett from Waco, Eric Howell and wife Jan from Conroe, Rachel Howell from Austin, Kim Todaro and husband John from Marshall, Paul Howell and Wife Amy Head from New Glarus, Wisconsin; 10 great grandchildren, Rayna and Waylon Eply, Coleton and Jakus Howell, Gentry and Emory Dokter, Zack and Ben Odell, Brannon Howell, and Jud Carter.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016 at First United Methodist Church in Kerens with Bro. Derek Rogers officiating.
Pallbearers include, Eric Howell, Russ Crawford, Dale Crawford, Sammy West, Kenny Sessions and Bobby Henderson.
