Matt Gustav Parisoff was called home by his Heavenly Father Wednesday, April 12, 2017 in Corsicana. He was born in Saint Joseph, Missouri on June 1, 1956 to Gus and Erma Parisoff.
Matt was fifth of seven children born to them. Matt was an expert marksman and fire arms instructor. He was a member of the IPSC, International Practical Shooting Confederation. He placed top 10 in the world class competition in the late 70s. He trained with Ray Chapman Academy and Jeff Cooper Academy. Matt was also a registered Schutzhund dog trainer even working with the Buchanan County Sheriff's department and the Corsicana Police Department. His prize dog and companion was Spartacus, an American Stafford Terrier. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church of Corsicana and a fourth degree Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife Ruth, of 32 years; children, Jason Sanchez, Juanita Aradondo, and Naomi Fills; seven grandchildren Brycen, Dija, Kayla, Alissa, Havier, Jade and Michael; brother Mark Parisoff and sister's Jana Donaldson, Mimi Bosch, Tena Parisoff, and Cara Morrison; uncle Tom Parisoff, aunts Frances Bidding, and Dona Kemmer, along with numerous nieces and nephews. His sister Myra Heinz preceded him in death on Feb. 8, 2017. Above all Matt loved God and his family.
A memorial mass will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
