Masako Watson, 80, of Dallas died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017 following a brief illness.
Masako was born in 1937 in Kota-ku, Osaka to Fukutaru and Kazue Nishikawa.
Her early years are mysterious, however we know she married U.S. Army Master Sergeant Gaylon Watson, from Corsicana in 1957. The newlyweds moved with Mr. Watson's army assignments throughout the world and by 1960 she had borne three beautiful sons. After her children had grown and her husband retired from the U.S. Army the couple settled down in Monterrey, California, where they lived for many years.
After Gaylon's death in 1994, Masako relocated to Richardson where her oldest son resided. She loved to work in her yard, ride the public transportation of Dallas, and spend quality time with her grandchildren who all adored her.
She leaves her three sons Thomas, William, and David Watson; six grandchildren, Ashley, Tyler, Olivia, Jacob, Kyle, and Ryan Watson and two loving daughters-in-law, Laura and Allison Watson.
A wake will be held at noon Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017 at Corley Funeral Home in Corsicana. Funeral services to follow at 2 p.m. at Resthaven Cemetery.
