Lee Alexander Huddleston, "Alex," was called home by God on Sept. 24, 2016.
Alex was born on Jan. 11, 1988 in Corsicana and graduated from Corsicana High School in 2006 in the top 10 percent of his class, along with many other medals and awards he earned from various organizations he was a member of, such as JROTC and Academic Decathlon.
He attended Sam Houston State University, Navarro College, and finished up his Bachelor degree, graduating in 2013, from The University of North Texas in Radio, Television and Film.
Alex found his love for radio while he was at KAND in Corsicana, thus leading him to UNT to seek his degree. He was named to the Dean's List, and earned several scholarships along with many other accomplishments while at UNT. He went out to West Texas for his first job after college as the news director for the radio station KBST in Big Spring. After a year in Big Spring, he went to work for the Palestine Herald Press as the Community Editor to be closer to home.
He is survived by his parents, Robert and Tisha Huddleston, and too many to list aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Dalton and Ruby Huddleston, and his maternal grandparents Bo and Betty Hancock.
Alex was an outgoing person who never met a stranger, he loved animals and had a passion for cooking. He had a steadfast and unshakable faith in humanity, and lived his life guided by that belief. He was a strong, upright, and compassionate man with a true sense of right and wrong and the world is less without him in it.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016 at First United Methodist Church in Corsicana with preacher is Rev. Jay Fraze officiating.
