John F. Joyner, 61, passed away in Dallas Friday, May 26, 2017.
John was born in Corsicana Jan. 9, 1956 to James Robert and Frances Slate Joyner, Jr. John grew up in Corsicana and graduated from Corsicana High School in 1974.
On May 28, 1977 he married Carolyn Trojacek and they made their home in Ennis.
He worked as a truck driver for Price Distributing, Frito Lay and Goco Trucking for a total of 35 years. He was a member of Refiner's Fire Ministry, International of Ennis. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. His family was the joy of his life and spending time with them was always a priority.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bob Joyner.
John will be remembered by all who knew him but his memory will be cherished most by his loving family including his wife of 40 years, Carolyn Joyner; son, Jason Joyner and wife, Veronica; daughter, Candice Joyner; mother, Frances Joyner; grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Abigail and Lainey; brothers: Phil Joyner and wife, Janis and Mark Joyner and wife, Marji; sisters, Bobbi Ruiz and husband Richard and Juli Reeves along with a host of extended family and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 1, 2017 at the Refiner's Fire Ministries, International of Ennis with Rev. Cord Blankenship officiating.
