Jimmie Jackson

Jimmie C. Jackson, Sr. passed away peacefully on March 29, 2019 at Navarro Regional Hospital surrounded by his son, daughter and son-in-law. Jim was born the ninth child of Henry and Allie Mae (Mahoney) Jackson in Eureka on May 26, 1931.
He had an extensive career serving our country first as a 16-and-a-half year old who joined the Army. He served our country in various roles at USAF bases in Texas, California, Tokyo Japan, Mississippi, Florida and Indiana. He proudly served three tours in Vietnam. Upon his retirement from the USAF in 1969, he made his home with his family in Corsicana.
He worked for Goodyear, Gibson's and was a paralegal for the law firm of Calame, Linebarger, Graham, and Pena.
Jim became an active member of the Navarro Regional Hospital Auxiliary in 1996. Serving as the first male president, he completed three terms. At the time of his death, he had given a total of 12,007 hours of service. He was a humble man who never realized the positive impact he made on the people he came in contact with, either in his career or as a hospital volunteer.

Cindi & family, I know the ending of this chapter in your lives is painful. But I know the many wonderful memories are mixed in there with pain. You have had much in your lives.. Continue to find solace in God and in knowing that 3 people you loved for infinity are reunited and oh, what a happy reunion that must be. Find solace in knowing that you all were the secret to Mr. Jackson's longevity and happiness while on this earth. God bless you all.
