Jim 'Square''s Story
Jim "Square" Warren of Kerens passed away Saturday morning Nov. 11, 2017 at Navarro Regional Hospital in Corsicana at the age of 97. Jim was a lifelong resident of Navarro County.
He was born to Tom Warren and Fronnie Belle Braddock Warren on June 17, 1920 in the Buffalo Community northeast of Kerens.
On May 22, 1937, he married Mildred Elizabeth Tramel. They were married for 73 years, 7 months, and 19 days.
He was preceded in death by parents, six brothers, three sisters, wife and oldest son James O. Warren.
Square was a farmer, roughneck, and rancher up to the day of his death. He coached youth baseball for many years in Kerens.
He is survived by Larry and Pat Warren of Corsicana, Diane Rose of Barry, Randy and Frances Warren of Kerens, Racene Warren of Kerens, Buddy and Violet Warren of Fairfield, 20 grand kids, 46 great grand kids, 20 great great grand kids, sister-in-law Betty Mann of Ft. Worth, sister-in-law Vinita (Butch) Warren of Hermleigh, Texas and many nieces and nephews.
He will be missed by family and friends.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 13, 2017 at Paschal Funeral Home.
Funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017 at Paschal Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Joe Warren and Dr. Gary W. Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Prairie Point Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons and honorary pallbearers will be great grandsons.
Memorials may be made to the Prairie Point Cemetery Association 3015 FM 636, Kerens, Texas 75144 in memory of Square.
