Jeanie Marie Arnett of Corsicana went to be with the Lord on Sunday evening, Oct. 30, 2016 at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas at the age of 74. She was born on Dec. 31, 1941 in the Winkler Community at the home of her aunt Ruby Minze to Leroy (Hoss) Johnson and Bertha MInze Johnson.
She married Roy Arnett in January 1972 and they made their home in Corsicana. She retired from Texas Miller Hat Factory and became a homemaker.
Jeanie is preceded in death by her parents Hoss and Bertha Johnson.
She is survived by her husband Roy Arnett of Corsicana, children, Darla Bonner and husband Donnie, Wade Derden, Donna Kelm and husband Beckett and Sherry Cheek and husband Mike; eight grandchildren, Melinda Ferguson, Jeffery Lewis, Shane Lewis, Bryan Cheek, Kristi Roberts, Brandi Cheek, Annette Derden and Brittney Derden and 22 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Peggy Yarbrough of Fort Worth, special friend Lori Williams and most favored sister-in-law JoAnn Tomlin.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday Nov. 1, 2016 at Griffin - Roughton Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016 at at Hamilton - Beeman Cemetery with Pastor Floyd Petersen of Trinity Baptist Church officiating. Pallbearers will be Kaleb Ferguson, Michael Ferguson, Jacob Rash, Jeffrey Lewis, Beckett Kelm and Bryan Cheek.
