Janice Lee (Holwege) Willhelm, 70, unexpectedly passed away in her home Thursday, April 27, 2017. The oldest of five, she was born July 30, 1946 in Portland, Oregon, to Roland Dick and Betty Jane (Roundy) Holwege.
In 1966, she married the love of her life, James A. Willhelm, they had three children before moving to Texas in the early 1970s and raising their family in Barry. Janice loved spending time with family and friends, and has had a life-long passion for various arts and crafts which she enjoyed making and sharing thru teaching, gifting, donating, and selling.
Janice was preceded in death by her husband, James, her father, "Rolly," and her brother, John.
She is survived by her daughter, BettyJo Nunley and husband Ken, and their children, Jamey, Kristina, Alysabeth, Mikal, and Nathen of Mississippi; her son and her former daughter-in-law, Teresa Perkins and their children, Aubrey, Kaitlyn, and Isaac of Ohio; her daughter, JennyLynn Burns and husband Kevin and their three children, Sarah, Maria, and Zackery of Barry; and her great-grandchildren. She also leaves her mother Betty of Oregon; a sister, Laurene of Oregon, two brothers, Lauren of Idaho and Jeff of Ohio, and their spouses; lots of cousins, nieces, nephews, dear friends, and her cats.
A visitation was held from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 1, 2017 at Corley Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 2, 2017 in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Corsicana with pres. Blare Green officiating. A private burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Blooming Grove.
