Jamie Kay Bell, 69 went home Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016 in Blooming Grove. Jamie is a 1965 graduate of Coleman High School and a 1969 graduate of Abilene Christian University.
Jamie married Doyle Bell in June of 1969. Their 47 years of marriage led her to become certified in teaching in all areas of education including kindergarten, elementary, secondary, special education, coaching girls basketball, ESL and numerous others.
She enjoyed laughing, painting, golfing, cards, fishing and entertaining family and friends. She was a dedicated teacher, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and an inspiration to all that knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Noah and Myrtle Streetman.
Jamie is survived by her husband, Roland Doyle Bell; children, Shauna Martin and Ashley Johnson; three grandchildren, Ryan Martin, Samantha Martin, Sierra Johnson and one sister, Annella Martin.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, 2016 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.
Services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, 2016 at Central Baptist Church of Blooming Grove.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016 at Dewey Cemetery in Lawn. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
