Guadalupe's Story

Ms. Guadalupe Settles Chadrick, 67, of Corsicana passed away Friday, Nov. 10, 2017 at her residence in Corsicana. She was born Nov. 25, 1949 in Corsicana to Catalina Gonzales and Ervin Settles, and was the oldest of seven children.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a master seamstress who enjoyed spending as much time with her family as possible. She had a love for country music and mystery shows.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Santos Gonzales and Roman Gonzales; her father, Ervin Settles; and a husband, Donnie Ray Chadrick.
She is survived by her mother, Catalina Hodge and step-father, Arthur Hodge; husband, Ermenegildo Pavana Zamora; daughter, Audrey Chadrick Beck; son, Samuel Zamora and wife Ruby; step-children, Kellie Robison and LaDonna Goerzen; grandchildren, Brandy Beck, Vincent Beck, Sadie Chadrick, Shanlee Zamora, Zoey Zamora, and Samuel Zamrora, Jr,; great-granddaughter, Julia Rogers; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. She had a heart of gold that will always be loved and remembered forever.
Visitation with the family was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017 at Corley Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 13, 2017 at the Corley Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tony Stephens officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ermenegildo Zamora, Samuel Zamora, Vincent Beck, Domingo Settles, Arthur Hodge, Jr., and Kenny Stallings.
