Garry Kyle Wilson was called home to be with the Lord Thursday, May 4, 2017. He was born in El Paso Oct. 6, 1952 to Joe Alfred (Fritz) and Ruth Wilson.
Garry loved being outdoors fishing and enjoying the wildlife. He also loved playing Dominoes. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in San Antonio in 1971 and served his country in the United States Army from 1974 to 1978 and the following two years in the National Guard.
Garry traveled throughout the countryside until he decided to move to North Carolina to stay with his sister, Lee. He resided there for many years until he lost his battle with Cancer.
Garry leaves behind a daughter, Jennifer W. Casanova and husband Brandon, and a granddaughter and a grandson residing in New Braunfels; sister, Lee W. Crowell and husband Mike, residing in Charlotte, North Carolina; brother, Steve Wilson and wife JoAnna of San Antonio and sister Dana Wilson of Kerrville.
A graveside service for family and friends will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 2017 at the Dawson Cemetery located at 398 N. Third St., off of Hwy 31.
