Freddie Mae Finley, 86, went to be with her Lord Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at her home in Corsicana.
Freddie was born to John and Letha Massey on April 21, 1931 in Winkler. She graduated from Wortham High School. She retired from the City of Corsicana after 20 years of service.
Freddie was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church where she enjoyed teaching young children about Jesus.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers H.L Massey and Johnny B Massey, sisters Mable Anderson and Mary Robinson.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Emmett Leon "Whiz" Finley; a son Emmett Lanier "Lanny" Finley and Vella Lopez; a daughter, Deborah Gondolf and husband, John; three grandchildren, Clee Finley and wife Gina, Elizabeth and Missy Gondolf; brothers R.E. Massey and Harold Massey and countless nieces and nephews.
Freddie was a gracious, devoted and loving wife, mother and friend. Her presence with us will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.
Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday May 28, 2017 at Trinity Baptist Church, 1200 N. 13th Street.
Memorials may be made to Trinity Baptist Church.
