Donnie Bone

Donnie Bone, 48 of Denton, Texas went to be with his Lord on May 26, 2019 at his group home. Donnie enjoyed drawing and watching his favorite teams, the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers whenever they played.
When he was younger, he loved shooting baskets and participating in Special Olympics competitions.
Donnie loved his family and his special kitty cat, Bootsy. He was a very conscientious employee when he worked at a cleaning job following high school. His employer once wrote a letter extolling the tremendous joy he received from having Donnie as a member of his staff. He was a very orderly person and kept his room and belongings in a neat and tidy fashion. He folded his dirty laundry and neatly placed it into the hamper awaiting the wash. Donnie loved helping out in the kitchen where he would load and unload the dishwasher and help with cleaning. When the leaves would fall from the numerous oak trees at his parents' home, Donnie would rake the leaves for his family.
Donnie was a member of Corsicana First Baptist Church Special Ministries and, in his spare time was found to be an Atari electronic games champion.
Donnie was preceded in death by his parents Dr. Robert Bone and Kathy Mitcham. He is survived by two sisters; Gaynelle Newport of Keller, Texas and Ann Parker of Gainsville, Florida.

We have such great memories of Donnie. He was a very special young man. He was a big part of our Special Ministry Dept. He loved going to Mt. Lebanon for Special Ministry camp and all the fun things they did there plus the Bible study we had. Always very quiet spoken but had a big smile for all. We will be lifting the family up in prayer. May God hold you all in His loving arms in the days ahead.
Love in Christ,
