Debbie Braddock Hunt, 59, passed away in Waxahachie, Thursday, March 9, 2017. Debbie was born in Ennis on Oct. 12, 1957 to Gene and Nellie Ann (Perry) Braddock. She grew up in Rice and attended school in Rice and Blooming Grove. She and Rickey E. Ragan were together for 25 years and made their home in Emhouse.
She worked for Collin Street Bakery for several years as a manager and for over 30 years as a Rural Carrier for the United States Post Office.
She enjoyed being outdoors and especially fishing. She was a avid Cowboy's fan and loved playing washers. In her younger years she played basketball and was a barrel racer. Her family was the joy of her life especially the grandchildren who called her "Measy," along with the nieces and nephews.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents and nephew, Jeffery Braddock.
She is survived by sons, Steven Kyle Hunt and wife Angelia, Sean Lee Hunt and wife Jolene, Johnny Ray Ragan and wife Liz and Rickey Glen Ragan and wife Brittany; daughter, La Jenia Ragan and Warren Hutcherson; nine grandchildren; three brothers, Steve Braddock and wife Jan, Ricky Braddock and wife Joni and Roger Braddock and wife Judy; one sister, Linda Bernal and husband Ben and her life mate, Rickey E. Ragan.
Visitation was held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, March 13, 2017 in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.
A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2017 in Rice Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
