Daneen Harris

Daneen Harris Daneen Marie Grisham Harris of Kerens, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior March 6, 2019. She was born to Lee Grisham of Wimberly and Barbara Stevenson Mullen of New Braunfels, on Nov. 15, 1982.
She is survived by her husband, Terrell Harris, her children, Gracen, 12, Kya, 8, Zane, 6, and Lilliana, 4.
She loved her husband and was an excellent mother. She loved each one of her children with everything she had. They were the most important thing in her life and her greatest accomplishment. There was no favorite. Each were loved unconditionally. She also loved her parents; Lee Grisham and Barb Mullen; step-parents, Lauri Grisham and Terry Mullen; sister, Jesi Grisham-Perez and husband, Kirk, and her brothers Jacob Grisham and Noah Mullen as well as all her aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. For her there was no time better than having a get-together!
Daneen summed up her life on her Facebook profile with, "mother, wife, sister, daughter and friend. Truly blessed by God's amazing grace and everlasting love."
So many things shape an individual's life. Daneen always had friends - many friends. She was popular in school. She thrived on helping others and later sharing Christ. She played hard - both in sports and in life. She graduated in the top 10 of her class from Wimberly High School in 2001, while playing volleyball coached by her father, Lee Grisham. She graduated college in 2005 from Texas Tech University where she also played volleyball. She met the man that would soon be her husband in the spring of 2008. Her and Terrell married on June 6, 2009 in Pike's Peak, Co.
Daneen's struggled with severe pain from Crohn's Disease. As difficult as all of that was, God used her wherever she went. Those that knew her can attest that she loved the Lord, her husband, her children, her family and her many friends.
She was still struggling with health issues but lived life to its fullest. She loved Terrell and was so proud of him. He stood by her side through many years of ups and downs. He loved her fully through the Grace of God. Plus, his wonderful family couldn't have been more supportive. They rallied to take care of the kids and do anything that was needed at the house. Sometimes, even sitting with her at the hospital and/or taking the kids to visit her.
There has been a Daneen Harris Memorial Fund set up at the Prosperity Bank of Kerens. Please call the bank at 903-396-2222 if you're interested in contributing.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 14, 2019 at the First Baptist Church of Kerens. Lunch will be served afterward.
