Constance's Story

Text size

Helen Constance (Connie) Logsdon Anderson was born Jan. 2, 1925 in Dallas. Connie was the only daughter of Dr. William K. Logsdon and Edna Hull Logsdon. She grew up in Corsicana. She attended Bennett College in New York and then the University of Texas at Austin. Connie was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority, The Daughters of the American Revolution and Magna Carta Dames.
Connie met the love of her life in San Antonio. She married Robert Louis (Andy) Anderson on June 28, 1947 in Corsicana. They moved to Kansas for a couple of years and then settled in Houston where they lived for the rest of their lives. They enjoyed a long and happy marriage until Andy's passing in 1996. Their home was always open to welcome those who wished to join them. She was the consummate hostess and was always looking for an opportunity to bring people together.
Connie had a great zest for life, a vivid imagination and was a very active person until she became ill in 2007. Her greatest joys in life were family and friends. She had many pursuits throughout her life including volunteer work, travel and selling antiques. She had a love of history, the beach and Colorado. Her greatest treasure was her family and sharing time with them. In her later years she had great interest in the FBI and wedding planning and was very entertaining with the stories she could tell.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to all of her dear friends who supported her throughout the years, and to her caregivers at Autumn Years and Hospice for all of their kindness and support.
Connie is survived by her son Robert (Rob) Logsdon Anderson in Boulder, Colorado, her daughter Joann (Ann) and son-in-law Ralph Nicosia in Friendswood, daughter Florence Elizabeth (Becky) and son-in-law Bill Romane in Houston. Connie was very devoted to her only grandson, William Matthew (Matt) Romane.
