Charles Albert Wallace, 69, of Purdon, Texas passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Twilight Nursing and Rehab Center in Corsicana. Charles was born on July 7, 1947 in Dallas, Texas to Albert Jack Wallace and Margaret Preslar Wallace. A graduate of Adamson High School, Charles worked as a machinist and had many interests, such as genealogy and Civil War history. He will be missed for his generosity and sentimentality, his work ethic and inventiveness, and his sense of humor and distinctive laugh. Charles is preceded in death by his parents; by his late wife, Judith Ellen Giddens Wallace; and by his brother-in-law Kenneth Manning. He will be missed by his wife, Cindy Wagner Wallace; brother Jacky and his wife Darlene; sister Susan Manning; daughter Cheryl Wallace Harris and her husband Mike; daughter Tammy Wallace and her fiancé Adam French; son James Wallace; son Brad Wallace; and stepson Nick Giddens; grandchildren Ashley Hocutt, Victoria Blizzard, Nathalie Wallace, Kursti Wallace, Madeline Harris, Timothy Harris, and Hope Phillips; and great-grandchildren Damien Lord, Alleigha Blizzard, and Jordan Blizzard Junior. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a donation to Charles favorite charity, St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
