Carol Sue Rose Cole, 73, of Richland passed away Oct. 11, 2017. She was born May 6, 1944 in Graham, North Carolina to James and Elizabeth Rose.
She was a beautiful spirit, caring, and sincere. A nurse by trade for 25 years, she always made it her life mission to care for others. Whether she was caring for her patients, family or strangers; her patience and giving nature was a hallmark of who she was. She spent many years making quilts and scarves for the residents of the nursing home. She was humble and selfless, always putting the needs of others before her own. She loved her family and grandchildren. Heaven will be a better place with her presence.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Cole of 30 years.
She is survived by her children, Sandra Sanchez, James Gribben and wife Jill, Terri Coats and husband John, John Gribben and wife Judi, Carl Nowicki and wife Monica, Sherrie Gribben Welker, Peggy Cole Bonilla and husband Bo-Jose, and Steve Kohler and wife Patty Heyano; as well as 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, and sisters, Becky Rose Parkerson and Patsy Rose Curry.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017 at the Corley Funeral Home Chapel with funeral service to follow at 1:30 p.m. Officiating the service will be Pastor Dan Gleason. Cremation will be held under the direction of Corley Funeral Home.
