Brynda Thomas LaLonde, born Brenda Beatrice Thomas made her introduction on Feb. 24, 1950 in Buffalo.
Brynda accepted Christ at an early age and attended Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She received her formal education from G.W. Jackson High School and was a proud graduate of the class of 1968. One of Brynda's biggest passions was fashion and loved to "dress to impress."
Brynda was previously employed at Texas Instruments, Gulf Life Insurance Co., and Bank of America in Dallas.
She was called home on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016.
Brynda was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Thomas, Sr., and sister, Jacqueline Thomas.
She leaves to cherish parents, Lucion and Gussie Jessie, and Cora Thomas; daughter, Larronda Lusk; Sons, Orlondo Jessie and Torin Jessie and wife Cassandra; sisters, Carolyn Johnson, Sandra Haynes, Johnnie Thomas, Joy Thomas, Debra and Renee Thomas; brothers, Lucion Jessie, III, Cedric Jessie, Sr., and wife Kaye, Ronnie Jessie and wife Jackie, Benjamin A. Jessie and wife Darlene, Terry Thomas and wife Thelma, Gayland Thomas and wife Mary, Jefferey Thomas and wife Brenda, Cecil Thomas, Jr., Michael and Danny Thomas; Daughter-in-law; three granddaughters, Jasmine Jessie, Celeste Jessie and Temassia Rooks; four grandsons, Ryan Lusk, D'Eriq Jordan, David Jessie and Devin Jessie; one great- grandson, Trenton Rocks; one great- granddaughter, Tatum Rocks; four aunts, Shirley Ware, Frankie Johnson, Annie Faye Dewberry and Louise Alexander; two uncles, Vernon Dewberry, Plesse Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Corsicana. Rev. Alfred Cox officiated and Rev. Jessie Williams served as Eulogist.
Brynda was laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery.
