Billy Lassiter

Billy Lassiter Billy George Lassiter, 81, died peacefully at home March 7, 2019 after a brief illness.
Billy was born on April 16, 1937, an only child to Brice and Robena Lassiter in Corsicana where he lived his entire life and graduated from Corsicana High School and Navarro Junior College. He married Robinell Wyrick on Aug. 17, 1957, his inseparable, lifelong sweetheart. A deacon at First Baptist Church of Corsicana, he was known as a kind and gentle man, a hard worker, a loyal friend, a good and righteous servant of his savior Jesus Christ, and a devoted husband and loving father who valued his family over anything on earth.
Billy and Robbie provided a wonderful Christian home for their two daughters. His life was a daily example to them of serving God and loving and caring for his family and many friends. Billy was loved and respected by all, and will be greatly missed.
Billy is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Robbie, and daughters Cheryl Wilson and her husband, Tim, of Fort Worth, and Sharon Robinson and her husband, Barry, of Corsicana.
Visitation with the family will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Corley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Danny P. Reeves officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

Bill Lassiter was a life long friend. They did not make them any better than Bill. He and my daddy 'Lee O. Jones' were always good friends as well. He will be missed. RIP

So sorry for your family's loss. In the days ahead may you find comfort in the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort (Psalms 83:18) because he cares for you. (2 Corinthians 1: 3-4.) A real hope of being reunited with your loved one is found at John 5:28, 29.
